GENERATIONS OF PROGRESS: THE INDUSTRIAL HISTORY OF MARATHON COUNTY at MARATHON COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY
The Marathon County Historical Society has a new exhibit, which the Marathon County Labor Council is excited to share: ‘Generations of Progress: The Industrial History of Marathon County.’ The exhibit focuses on the history of over 40 manufacturers who had humble beginnings and grew to become larger employers and leaders in their industries. This exhibit opened to the public on June 6, 2015 and is scheduled to be on display until May 31st, 2016. This leaves ample time to check out the informative displays about industry, of old and present, in Marathon County. If you go make sure to check out the second floor displays, which include the history of labor in Marathon County and was provided by the Marathon County Labor Council.
The Marathon County Historical Society is located at 410 McIndoe St. in Wausau. This exhibit is free and open to the public.
